Another Miracle
It must be the air downunder cos God is blessing us with another little angel. I'm already 24weeks and I still can't believe this is happening. After all the pain and stress we went through in Singapore just to have another little one, it's all worth it now.
It's going to be another little princess. We haven't thought of a name yet. Just haven't got any inspiration yet. We weren't prepared for this surprise at all, I mean, Liz is just 14 months old! I haven't had any time to really sit down, take a breather and enjoy my pregnancy.
I can't wait to meet her.

The Sweetest Thing to Say
Zac said, "Mum, I want to have another baby brother or sister but I don't want you to go through so much pain again."
My heart just melted.

Andre Did a "Josh"
It's been really hot this summer, temperatures soaring to 42degC and maybe higher. And sadly, I'm sure everyone's been reading about the bushfire that's burning parts of Victoria causing many to be homeless.
You would think to be careful and not start one in WA right? WRONG!! The ashtray that Andre used to have was broken when we moved. So now, he just throws the butts into the garden bed and when it's time to do the gardening, he cleans the butts up as well. I know in Singapore, even if you don't stub out the butt properly, it'll eventually die out, but not here in Perth. One seriously HOT saturday afternoon, I smelled smoke and thought there was some bushfire that started somewhere out there. Andre goes out to check and THERE in front of us, our garden bed was on smoking!! Apparently, it was on fire and thankfully our neighbour was quick enough to grab a pail of water to put it out.
So there....Andre did a "Josh"!
Boys Will Be Boys!
Sigh...need I say more!! It was with Andre's shaver btw....
And for the rest of the evening till bedtime, he kept begging me to let him stay home tomorrow, afraid his friends will laugh at him. Told him it's still going to look the same come monday. He went to bed crying.
On the bright side, we had a good laugh!!
On the bright side, we had a good laugh!!

And Now There Is Four
It's been 2 years since we lost the 2 angels but God has blessed us with another one. And this time with a little girl...a princess.
Born on 28th November at 1413hrs, Elizabeth Cheyenne Rodrigues weighed 3390gms and was 49cm long.
She is every bit a girly girl can be. She will cry about almost everything. From the weather to the milk service being too slow. Well, we wanted a girl what....
We're so proud of her big brother. There's not an ounce of jealousy from him. Instead, lots of love, hugs and kisses for her. And he is even asking when he can feed her milk.
Thank you God for our children..:)

Too Many Goodbyes
Since 15th July 2007, I've been saying goodbyes like no tomorrow. And all very difficult and painful ones. The first and painful one was when everyone came to see us off at the airport when we left for Perth. It was miserable. I couldn't stop tearing and the worst part was to see Zac cry. He kept crying and screaming for his Gong Gong and Por Por. So sad! And he didn't stop until the flight entertainment came on.
Then of course, when we went back to Singy in September and had to leave in November, it was another round of tears.
In March, Averyl and Sung came....tears. In June, my in laws came....tears. And the most painful, just 3 days ago, my parents left and went back to Singapore after a wonderful 2 week holiday with us.
I'd say the ones that find it most difficult to say goodbye would be Andre and myself, not so much Zac. Kids will remember but they can easily be distracted with other things. Things like that leave a very deep impression for adults.
I hate to say goodbyes!

Don't Care If You Know Already....I'm Still Telling You Again....IT'S A GIRL!
I just cannot describe that feeling when the Ultrasound Tech told me we are having a baby girl. After having such a cute bubbly son, I just know having a girl will just be as good!
Dre and I were there at the Women's Imaging Services bright and early. There was no one in the waiting area so that was a good sign. We were called in within the next 10mins. This trip was really important because the Tech was supposed to tell us if Jellybean was healthy and normal. But honestly, and I bet Dre would agree with me, we weren't interested at what the Tech was saying at all. Every time the Tech scanned the legs and bum area, I kept looking out to see if I could tell if Jellybean was a boy or a girl. But the Tech was such a pro, she just kept on doing what she was supposed to do and kept checking for all vital areas of Jellybean to see if all was good.
So finally, after a good 15-20mins of waiting, the Tech gave us the drumroll and told us what we wanted to hear. "Congratulations! You....young lady are going to have a baby girl!" I threw up my arms and screamed for joy. At that moment, nothing in the world could take away that happiness from me. NOTHING!
The Tech did say that all scans are 96% accurate and though Dre is still hoping for that 4%, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have a daughter. And besides, I've already chosen the name when I was like 9weeks preggy. Never even bothered to think of boys' names. So 96% is more than acceptable to me!
Oh and if you're wondering what the name is...tee hee...you'd have to wait. We have to get approval from higher authorities first...(meaning the folks lar). So till then...stay tuned.

MIA
Wow! My last blog's in March. If anyone is wondering.....I've been out of action. Fighting the morning sickness is not easy...:) On top of that, visitors came and went. So the entertaining was also non-stop. And for someone who needed to sleep every 3hrs, it wasn't easy.
Well if you haven't guessed by now, yes...I'm having #2!!! Finally! The big J has finally decided that it's time for us to have another junior...or as some people have decided on a name....Mupplet. LOL! So cute! For now, we're calling him/her "Jelly Bean".
If all goes well, Jelly Bean will out at the end of November. Can't wait! Been looking forward to this day for soooo long. Andre was actually hoping to have 2 Jelly Beans again but I guess big J feels one at a time is better for all. I'm not complaining. As long as morning sickness doesn't go beyond the first trimester and Jelly Bean comes out normal and healthy, I'm grateful...:)

The Birds and The Bees
While giving Zac a shower, he suddenly asks me, "Mummy, what are these 2 things under my birdy?" I was in shock and I wanted to laugh. How cute a question is that!!! "Those are your testicles son.". "Oh.." was his reply. And thankfully, he didn't question further..phew! I wouldn't know what to say if he asked me what they were for. LOL!

Yipee!!!! I Got "The Last Word"!!!!
A thousand hugs and kisses to Jilly Beans!!!!! muaks!! Kudos to you kiddo!
Drum roll please............................the last word is CATARRH. Pronounced [kuh-tahr]. It basically means inflammation of a mucous membrane, esp. of the respiratory tract, accompanied by excessive secretions.
Maybe they only came out with this word when Jilly Beans was in school. Didn't exist in my time....:P
Thanks again Jilly Beans!!!

For A Professional Finish
The Last Word
Everything went so well, so smooth. Every word fell in place and we could almost smell the first prize money of A$400 coming our way!! We could even find the word for Ethiopia's capital......ADDIS ABABA! Who would have guessed right? But alas....we are stuck! Such a simple clue yet it's costing me sleepless nights and I was even dreaming of what the bloody word could be! Who knew Crossword Puzzles could do this to a person....lol!
So a thousand kisses to anyone who can tell me what this last word is....ppppplllllleeeeeaaasssseee!!! The clue - Nasal Fluid. A 7-letter word _A_A_R_

It's CNY and I am in Australia!!
boo hoo......no reunion dinner, no oranges, no he peow soup, no pineapple tarts, no ang paos & the top of the list....NO BA KWA!!!!Apart from the food, I've always loved CNY and X'mas. It's the time where family members (and I mean the entire clan) will come together to eat and be merry. We've missed Christmas and Chinese New Year so far...so depressing. Oh and of course Andre and I miss the gambling...tee hee!
Mum cooked Chap Chai, He Peow Soup, Chicken Curry, Babi Pong Teh. yum yum! She'd most probably cook more if we were there. Here in Perth, CNY came and it was like any other normal day of the year. All was quiet as usual. No half day for Andre or Zac. No excitement of getting up bright and early to get ready for visitations. No calls from friends to plan for the next earliest gambling session. Sigh...just another normal day.
Well anyways, here's wishing everyone back home Xing Nian Kuai Le, Wan Shi Ru Yi & Gong Xi Fa Cai!

First Day at School
The day we've been waiting for finally arrives. We all woke up bright and early to get ready (actually, I had to wake up earlier to prepare breakfast).
Surprisingly, Zac woke up excited. Brushed his teeth, had his shower, breakfast, did a poop and was all set to go. Not a sound of whining nor a drop of tear.
School is like a 5min drive from home. It was packed by the time we got there at 8.30am. School starts at 9am actually, but being Singaporean, the "KS" syndrome automatically kicked in and I wanted to be there early to check everything out and talk to his teacher. The first funny thing I noticed on the way in the carpark was that alot of parents were carrying tissue boxes and kitchen rolls. I realised later that they don't provide them for the children. Weird though...seeing how school fees are like $1.4k a year and we have to bring our own tissue paper.
School here is sooo different from Singapore. There is so much excitement in the air, no crying, wailing from the children or parents yelling at their kids. Everyone there looked so experienced. It's like this was kid #3 attending Primary 1 and Andre and I were the only newbies around. So like copycats, we looked around and followed what everyone else was doing.
Had a short chat with his nice, young teacher, Miss Maslin and she tried her utmost best to reassure us that Zac will be fine and she'll look after him just fine.
9am and the school bell rang. Andre and I noticed we were the last set of parents to be in the class. Quickly gave our hugs and kisses and walked out. Zac was looking around but I think Miss Maslin somehow mananged to get his attention. We rushed out of school and waited in the car park. 10mins went by and all was good. Phew!
Kan cheong me kept my mobile on me the whole day but wonderfully, there were no calls from the school.
Was outside his class at 2.50pm, so were the other mummies and daddies. It seemed like everybody knew everybody and were so happy to finally catch up as their children attended the same school. Me? nope..no one to gossip with yet.
School bell rings and out rushes all the children, happy to see their parents. All except Zac...waited for like 3mins but still no Zac. So I walked into his class and there he was talking to Miss Maslin. Waved at him and he wasn't even excited to see me...:( Only when he was done talking to Miss Maslin that he decides to give me a big hug.
We weren't even out of the school yard and already Zac was telling me how much fun school was. He even asked me how come I came to pick him up so early. Can't believe my ears!!!! Finally he likes school!!!!

Aaarrggghhh! What's Happening To My Tomato Plant?!
I give up! I've tried all ways to try to save my tomato plant but it's still dying (I think). Some websites say it's normal for the plant to shed leaves and that new ones will grow again. I'M STILL WAITING FOR THE NEW ONES TO GROW!!!!!! So if anyone out there knows how to save my plants....PLEASE let me know!
