Drum roll please............................the last word is CATARRH. Pronounced [kuh-tahr]. It basically means inflammation of a mucous membrane, esp. of the respiratory tract, accompanied by excessive secretions.

Maybe they only came out with this word when Jilly Beans was in school. Didn't exist in my time....:P

The Last Word

Everything went so well, so smooth. Every word fell in place and we could almost smell the first prize money of A$400 coming our way!! We could even find the word for Ethiopia's capital......ADDIS ABABA! Who would have guessed right? But alas....we are stuck! Such a simple clue yet it's costing me sleepless nights and I was even dreaming of what the bloody word could be! Who knew Crossword Puzzles could do this to a person....lol!

Zac's First Week in School

So Nice to Have Sarah Back...Coz......

First and foremost, Zac has found a new target!!! hehehehehe.....
Kidding lar!!! We're not that evil but seriously, I guess coz he's not seen her for almost 3 months, he can't wait to come back from school everyday to play Snakes and Ladders with her. So sweet. Ha...there were even days when he didn't even want to go to school coz he just wanted to play with his Aunty.

It's CNY and I am in Australia!!

boo hoo......no reunion dinner, no oranges, no he peow soup, no pineapple tarts, no ang paos & the top of the list....NO BA KWA!!!!

Apart from the food, I've always loved CNY and X'mas. It's the time where family members (and I mean the entire clan) will come together to eat and be merry. We've missed Christmas and Chinese New Year so far...so depressing. Oh and of course Andre and I miss the gambling...tee hee!

Mum cooked Chap Chai, He Peow Soup, Chicken Curry, Babi Pong Teh. yum yum! She'd most probably cook more if we were there.

Here in Perth, CNY came and it was like any other normal day of the year. All was quiet as usual. No half day for Andre or Zac. No excitement of getting up bright and early to get ready for visitations. No calls from friends to plan for the next earliest gambling session. Sigh...just another normal day.

Well anyways, here's wishing everyone back home Xing Nian Kuai Le, Wan Shi Ru Yi & Gong Xi Fa Cai!
